My name is Ellen Thorne. I was born in Ohio, but as a pastor and a church musician's daughter, I have lived in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Tennessee. Since 1992 I have lived in Texas. I have line danced on and off since the late 80s. I taught briefly in the 90s and now I teach weekly. My heart is teaching absolute beginners. I also thoroughly enjoy choreographing dances using music that brings joy to the soul.
My husband Chuck was born in Newfoundland. He has lived all over the world as an Air Force brat, including Germany, Japan, and throughout the midwest. He took a while to become a line dancer but in 2020 he was coerced into trying it. Now, he is as passionate as I am. He is a great partner for Love on the Line and the inspiration for Chuck's Corner.
